What to Expect in Couple's Therapy
We believe trusting and loving relationships are vital and shouldn’t be so hard. We offer counseling for couples who are genuinely invested in improving their relationships and are open and willing to change.
We offer a nonjudgemental, neutral, and safe space where you can feel heard and understood. Our mission is to help couples achieve a healthy and satisfying relationship.

Before the first session

each of you will be asked for basic information to set up an electronic record

each of you will receive an invite to access documents in the electronic record health system (Sessions Health) to review and sign
First session
-
we will review the forms and surveys you completed

we will review the practices and policies for working together
-
information about what you would like to accomplish in therapy and your relationship history will be gathered
After the first session
-
you will be asked to complete surveys offered by the Gottman Relationship Institute
-
each person will have an individual interview
-
from information gathered during the interviews and the surveys, you will be given feedback based on the Gottman Sound Relationship House Model about your relationship strengths and areas in need of improvement

we will develop a treatment plan
-
we will get to work on your goals using Gottman tools for communication and conflict management
